Broken Tridents

I bet there are other broken tridents out there. I am a Bajan. What is a Bajan you may ask? for those who don't know a Bajan is a native of Barbados. Broken Trident is the symbol of the trident on our flag, representing those of African descent. Sun and Sea that is Barbados with its beautiful white sands, blue waters, and golden sunshine. I attended Bay Primary School and Green Lynch before moving to the states at age 13.

I am testing the internet to see who is reading, what they are reading and if any other Broken Tridents are out there who share a similar history as myself.

Launch

This is the launch of MiddlePassage 72.

I chose this name for a number of reasons first and foremost in light of the recent rumblings on immigration, it says that I too traveled to this great land with my family in 1972. I have enjoyed the freedoms and the opportunities provided. I am a citizen with all the rights and privileges appertained therewith. I have a family and am glad to lead them to appreciate the blessings of our liberties. There is great apprehension with the recent news, but hopefully the rhetoric and concerns about war and energy resources will be overcome by true stewardship and civility in our public affairs.
